Always very helpful and nothing too much trouble, they always turned up on time and went above and beyond sometimes which, as I live far away, was peace of mind for me and my wife. What a great team they are at Chelsmscare Borehamwood. From the office to the hands-on carers. All helpful, caring and friendly. They looked after my mum and dad fantastically, going over and above what they needed to do. Both my parents looked forward to them coming in to see them. When Mum and Dadwere ill they were so caring, communicating with the family and waiting with them until we got there. I would like to thank Claire Sweeney and her amazing team at Chelmscare based in Borehamwood, for the Home Care, love and devotion that they gave my mum Diane for almost 2 years.
It was mum’s wish not to go into a Care home, and this team made her fulfil her dreams. The Carers went above and beyond there duty of Care, and in such difficult times they always had a smile on their faces. They made mum laugh, retain her dignity and became her friend opposed to carers.
Before Covid when mum was admitted to hospital, they would visit taking chocolates, on the day of the mums funeral the Manager Claire attended that afternoon, a beautiful flower arrangement arrived at the door.
Keep up the amazing work Chelmscare, and stay safe.

Chelmscare has been amazing with my husband who was a cancer patient. I couldn’t have asked for a better care company to have provided care for him. They are the type of company who don’t see caring as a job but as a duty of care. Some of them have gone the extra mile just to give my husband the care that he deserved. They even dealt with cases when social services have failed my husband. Overall, I’m thankful to have been blessed with a care company that has cared for my husband until his last breath.

Thank you to the whole team for your support with my father-in-law. Unfortunately, he passed away on 8th January 2022 but we could not have looked after him, especially recently, without the help of the carers on a daily basis. The carers were invaluable to us from the moment they started, treating my father-in-law with compassion and respect no matter how challenging he could be sometimes. Their positive attitude and sense of humour helped keep us all going, especially during difficult times and, most importantly, they helped us recognise when things were not right so that we could get medical help.Both carers were amazing, however, everyone else that attended with them were equally as good and we are grateful to them all. For you all it is part and parcel of the job you do and it’s easy to underestimate the difference it makes to people’s lives. You have all made a huge impact on our lives and been there when we most needed it and I am sure you will carry on making a difference.

Dear Claire,
I just now got back from the UK together with my son to attend the funeral of my dear mother.
I wanted to personally thank you and all your wonderful carers for all the kind care you gave my mother (even though there were times when she wasn’t easy at all). I greatly admire the care and attention you showed her.
Please also thank Chris, I think that’s his name. My brother told me he went as you as you could to her flat and started giving CPR.
Given though my mum was very poorly her sudden passing came as a great shock for which I need time to morn and grieve.

Chelmscare have supported me when dealing with the Local Authority to ensure that I was getting the right support. The Care Staff have enabled me to maximise my parenting ability despite my ongoing health issues. I don’t worry so much when my carer is with me for the safety of my children should I have a seizures.
The Care Manager has gone above and beyond his job description for us to ensure that my children don’t miss out on school. I now have a PA from Chelmscare to enable my family to have good continuity of care.

Would like to thank the Carers of Chelmscare for the kindness that they show to my mum. She speaks very highly of them all, especially Mary who goes above and beyond for my mum and no doubt to the other elderly people too.
I arranged a tea party for mums 90th birthday yesterday and Mary was so helpful. She arranged for the hall to be opened for us to use. When we arrived, Mary had decorated the hall beautifully with lots of balloons and banners. She had got all crockery arranged, which made it so much easier for my husband an I. It was a most enjoyable afternoon.

I had a telephone call with Christine who says the service is excellent. Christine feels that they are a really good care provider, and they are far better than her previous agency.
