Respite Care

Our Respite Care Package, also known as “Carers break ”, respite services, provides temporary relief and support to family caregivers who are taking care of a loved one with a chronic illness, disability, or other care needs. It is designed to give caregivers a break from their caregiving responsibilities, allowing them to recharge and attend to their own well-being while ensuring that their loved ones continue to receive appropriate care.

Here are some key aspects of respite care services:

Temporary Care:

Our Respite care is temporary and flexible in nature and can be provided for a few hours, a day, a weekend, or longer, depending on the caregiver’s needs and the availability of services.

Experienced Personal Care Assistants:

Trained and qualified caregivers or healthcare professionals provide respite care services. These caregivers are equipped to handle the specific needs and conditions of the care recipient.

Flexible Respite Care:

Our Respite Care Package is tailored to meet the unique needs of the individual in receipt of care. This can include assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), medication management, companionship, and specialized care for conditions like Alzheimer’s or dementia.

Emotional Support:

In addition to physical care, our Personal Care Assistants can offer emotional support and social engagement to the care recipient, helping to alleviate feelings of isolation or loneliness.

Stress Relief:

Our Respite Care Package allows family caregivers to take a break, reduce stress, and prevent burnout. It can also provide caregivers with time to attend to their own medical appointments, work, or engage in personal activities.

Flexibility:

Our Respite Care Service can be arranged on a scheduled basis, such as a few hours each week, or in response to unexpected caregiver needs, such as illness or emergencies.

Our home-based respite care is a valuable resource for family caregivers, offering them the opportunity to recharge while maintaining a high level of care for their loved ones in the comfort of their home. It can significantly contribute to the well-being of both the caregiver and the care recipient.

Miss Kearns

Chelmscare has been amazing with my husband who was a cancer patient. I couldn’t have asked for a better care company to have provided care for him They are the type of company who don’t see caring as a job but as a duty of care…
